I feel it everywhere I go

The streets of this city all remind me of you

The places we used to meet

In my dreams

Sometimes I’d stand in Penn Station

And imagine you waiting for me

The 3:43 from Hoboken

The 5:21 ready to take you away from me

The city’s lost its buzz

Or maybe it’s just me

Because when you got down on one knee

All the magic left me

Replaced with pure agony

Now I’m no longer allowed to feel this

What was once an alluded possibility

Revealed itself to be nothing but a fantasy

But I still can’t shake the imprint you’ve left on my entire being

You’re walking around with my soul in your pocket

Disguised as a shiny diamond ring

And I’m afraid to know if you’ll ever figure it out

But the truth is, you’ve always held it
