About Me

I’m Tina and I’m a writer from Brooklyn, NY. I know, how cliché, right? But don’t write me off just yet! You might find something different here. I promise!

I have a restless heart. It keeps me up through the night. Here you’ll find a timeline of my journey into the unknown, along with ruminations of my noisy mind.

I’m a music enthusiast. I tend to incorporate music into my blog posts whenever possible. Please feel free to nerd out with me on any song that grabs your attention. 😛

A Sober Head Full of Confusion is about experiencing life with a brave face, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. It’s a place where I can feel out all of the unfamiliar territory, live through all of the chaos, and still find a way to come out of it a better person. This is me. Unabashed and honest. I was never one to drown my pain in artificial substances such as drugs and alcohol so this is my way of demonstrating life, beauty and pain soberly. I think the scariest part is allowing others to come along for the ride.

  1. I found your blog serendipitously. I’m going to talk to my Jr. High School about success in a difficult world in a few weeks. I found your post about ‘not being like the cool kids.’ I like the idea of ‘the road not taken’ it has made all the difference in my life. I’m going
back to my world of 1978! to let the kids know that it’s OK to be different and to dream. It is fine to build castles in the air, then build foundations under them ( education, commitment, character) ‘ Cool kids’ is a catchy tune, but I never felt I could be like them… and it
has made all the difference in the world for me!

  2. I’m not sure if you have already received this award or even accept blog awards but, even so, I think that your blog is interesting and I’ve nominated you for the “Versatile Blogger Award”. You’ve introduced me to some great music and I can definitely relate to some of your posts (Momentary Glimpse: January 13).

  3. Hi Tina:
An excellent blog which reflects your eclectic tastes.

I found your interpretation of Wyeth’s “Christina’s World” painting very unique. Before I knew anything about Christina Olsen i.e. her physical challenges, I had always (and actually still do) viewed it as painting filled with mystery e.g. has this woman just woken up from a dream, what is she thinking, is there someone she is looking for up there in the barn-style structures. Has she turned to look up with the hope of finding something up there.

Just thought I would share it with you. “Christina’s World” is one of my favourite paintings from the time I was a teenager and had a print of it in my room. And today it hangs in my living room.

    Best wishes,
